What #GTABC Is All About
#GTABC is the Georgetown University Africa Business Conference. And it is our sincere pleasure to invite you to the inaugural conference, Africa Rising: Business in Action, to be held in Washington, D.C. on the 6th of February 2016.
The conference is hosted by Georgetown's McDonough School of Business in conjunction with the Walsh School of Foreign Service’s African Studies Program. The purpose of this event is to showcase the growth and impact of the private sector across the African continent and facilitate a discussion on opportunities to continue this success.
Africa Rising: Business in Action will bring together leaders from across Africa to discuss the developments of various industries--including banking, private equity, technology, and music--and will be attended by leaders from business, government, nonprofits and academia interested in learning more about business in Africa. The conference team has confirmed a slew of speakers, including top executives from Coca-Cola, IBM, World Bank, Trade Africa, Altas Mara, Abraaj, Emerging Capital Partners, iRoko Partners, and TRACE Urban.
We hope that you can join us for the main conference on Saturday, February 6 at Georgetown University. We also invite you to join us at the pre-conference reception on Friday, February 5--held in conjunction with AfropolitianDC. Please register using the link above and if you have any questions, you can reach the planning team at .
Use the hashtag #GTABC leading up to, throughout, and even after the conference weekend to share your best moments and connect with other conference goers to keep the discussion going!
